Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Alexandria University, in cooperation with the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, organized a symposium entitled "Threats and Challenges Facing the Egyptian State", in the conference hall of the Faculty of Medicine. Major General Staff Dr. Samir Abdel Ghani lectured at the symposium.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Iman Youssef, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Tamer Abdullah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Colonel Mohamed Maher, Director of the Military Education Department at the University, and Lieutenant Colonel Shehab El-Din Magdy, Deputy Director of the Military Education Department at Alexandria University.
In his speech, Major General Samir Abdel Ghani reviewed the security threats facing the Egyptian state, whether internal or external, and pointed out that Egypt faces strategic challenges in a turbulent regional environment, which requires constant vigilance and continuous readiness. He also spoke about the economic and social challenges facing the state, and stressed the importance of achieving sustainable development and social justice to confront these challenges. He pointed out that the Egyptian state is striving to achieve a balance between security and development, and that it is working to build a strong state capable of confronting challenges and protecting its interests.

Major General Abdel Ghani explained that the Egyptian Armed Forces are the protective shield of the homeland, and that they are doing their utmost to protect Egyptian national security. He pointed out that the Armed Forces work side by side with other state institutions to achieve security and stability in the country.
He also stressed the importance of national awareness among Egyptian youth, and their role in building the future of Egypt, and called on young people to adhere to national values and good morals, and contribute to serving their homeland.
At the end of his speech, Major General Abdel Ghani stressed his confidence in Egypt's ability to overcome challenges and achieve a better future for its children.
In her speech, Dr. Iman Youssef saluted and appreciated the men of the Egyptian Armed Forces for their efforts, sacrifices and devotion over the years for our beloved Egypt, stressing that the men of the Armed Forces have proven the superiority of the Egyptian soldier in the most difficult moments, and stressed that the Armed Forces are playing an important role in this period that the country is going through, proving to the whole world the strength of Egypt, its army, its president and its honorable men.
The symposium witnessed a large attendance of Alexandria University students, who interacted with the lecturers and asked many questions and inquiries.
