Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized a veterinary service training convoy for the eighth village of Abis, in cooperation with the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Alexandria.

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Maghrabi, who is managing the work of the Dean of the faculty, indicated that this convoy comes within the university’s plan to serve the Alexandrian community and train students for the faculty. He pointed out that the convoy included faculty members and the supporting staff from the clinical specialties at the faculty, where they examined, diagnosed, and treated diseases and surgeries of small and large animals and poultry, free of charge. He added that the convoy included final-level students from the faculty for practical training.
During the convoy, 442 cases were detected and treated, including cows, buffalo, sheep, goats, horses, and poultry. It witnessed a large turnout from the villagers, who expressed their thanks to the university and asked for the convoys to be repeated periodically.
