As part of the academic cooperation agreement between Alexandria University and Vatel School of Hospitality and Tourism in France, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels participated in a specialized training program in cooperation with Vatel France, held at Vatel’s campus in Nîmes from July 20 to 24, 2026.
The training aimed to prepare academic and administrative staff for the implementation of the joint international program, through familiarization with Vatel’s academic, administrative, and operational systems and the exchange of international expertise and best practices.
Prof. Dr. Heba Saad, Dean of the Faculty, highlighted that the program represents an important step toward strengthening the Faculty’s academic excellence and international presence, while Dr. Menna Allah El-Beitar, Program Coordinator, noted that the training included workshops and field visits covering quality assurance, hotel training, digital systems, marketing, international relations, and professional training.
The participation comes as part of preparations to launch the Vatel Hotel Management Program at Alexandria University, offering a double degree, in line with international standards and the evolving needs of the hospitality industry.
