Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Department of Educational Administration and Education Policies at the Faculty of Education organized its third forum entitled “Education Policies Between Renewal and Reform” at the Conference and Seminar Hall.

The forum was held with the support and guidance of Prof. Dr. Hassan Saad Abdeen, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khamis Harb, Head of the Department of Educational Administration and Education Policies and President of the Forum.

The event was attended by a distinguished group of academic and educational leaders, including the Dean of the Faculty, the Forum President, the Vice Deans for Graduate Studies and Research, and for Community Service and Environmental Development, in addition to the Director of the Alexandria Directorate of Education, former faculty leaders, a number of faculty members, researchers, and prominent public figures from Alexandria.

The forum commenced with participant registration, followed by the opening speech delivered by the Dean of the Faculty, who welcomed the attendees and expressed his pride in the forum’s continuity for the third consecutive year. He affirmed that the Faculty of Education is fully committed to supporting academic platforms that bring together researchers and decision-makers. He further noted that the selection of the theme “Renewal and Reform” reflects the department’s awareness of the need to review and develop educational policies in line with global transformations, emphasizing that the forum serves as a bridge between academic thought and practical application to ensure a better educational future.

In his address, the Forum President welcomed the panel members, experts, educational leaders, researchers, and participants, highlighting that the third edition of the forum reaffirms the department’s commitment to advancing specialized scientific research and fostering academic dialogue on educational policy issues, as they constitute the cornerstone for educational development and shaping its future direction.

The forum featured several scientific sessions that discussed a range of research papers and strategic perspectives, reflecting the richness of discussion and the diversity of approaches to issues of renewal and reform in educational policies. The event concluded with a set of recommendations, followed by a closing speech by the Forum President, who praised the forum’s success and the distinguished scientific contributions and constructive discussions it witnessed. He extended his appreciation to all researchers, participants, session chairs, and organizing committees. The event concluded with honoring the organizing committee and session chairs.
