As part of the state’s efforts to raise national awareness among university youth, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces organized a major educational seminar at the Faculty of Law. The seminar addressed “Contemporary Challenges and Ways to Confront Rumors”, and was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Feky, Dean of the Faculty, Colonel Mohamed Maher, Director of the Military Education Department at the University, along with a number of senior leaders of the Armed Forces.

The seminar featured a rich lecture delivered by Brigadier Engineer Ahmed Abdel-Meguid, who analytically reviewed the current scene, stressing that the Egyptian state is presently living through the phase of the “Second Crossing.” This phase, he explained, is marked by the political leadership’s bold engagement with complex issues on all fronts simultaneously. Success in eliminating terrorism has gone hand in hand with battles of investment and construction. He noted that the massive leap in road and highway networks has placed Egypt among the world’s top 20 countries in road quality, describing roads as the “arteries of life” for any investment-led renaissance. He also highlighted the New Administrative Capital as a symbol of the state’s aspirations toward the future.
For his part, Colonel Mohamed Maher emphasized the pivotal role of the Military Education Department in safeguarding students’ minds against destructive ideas and systematic rumors, affirming that the goal is to build a nationally aware personality that understands the magnitude of challenges and takes pride in the achievements of its homeland, serving as the first line of defense against attempts to undermine Egyptian resolve.
This was echoed by Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Feky, Dean of the Faculty, who affirmed the Faculty of Law’s commitment to preparing a distinguished legal graduate armed with national awareness, capable of playing an active role in building the New Republic and confronting contemporary challenges with insight and competence.
