Within the series of volunteer and awareness activities organized by Alexandria University, and under the patronage of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Agriculture held an awareness seminar titled "Renewing Religious Discourse and Raising Awareness Among Youth." The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Heba Sabry Salama, Dean of the Faculty, and was supervised and organized by Prof. Dr. Maha Adel Konah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gamal Attwa, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, with the participation of Dr. Lamyaa Khamis El-Shafei, Coordinator of Volunteer Activities at the University.

The keynote speakers included His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal, Director-General of Al-Azhar Preaching, Sheikh Ahmed Abdel Ghani, Sheikh El-Sayed Abdel Mawla, and Ms. Nagwa Shebl from Al-Azhar Preachers (male and female). The lecturers addressed multiple axes concerning the importance of renewing religious discourse and its role in promoting enlightened thought and protecting youth from misleading ideas.

In his speech, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal stressed that the renewal of religious discourse does not mean changing constants, but rather "re-presenting them to young people in a contemporary language based on correct understanding and moderation, thereby enhancing their ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and confronting intellectual challenges in light of the rapid development of the world." He also emphasized the importance of empowering youth with sound religious knowledge that contributes to building genuine awareness based on positive thinking, ethics, and humanitarian values.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Heba Sabry Salama, Dean of the Faculty, explained that organizing such seminars comes within the framework of the social role of the Faculty and the University in "building an aware student personality, capable of critical thinking, and immunized against rumors and extremist ideas." She affirmed that the Faculty is committed to implementing more awareness-raising activities that support students on both the scientific and human levels and contribute to their effective participation in community service.

At the conclusion of the event, the Faculty honored the lecturers in appreciation of their participation and efforts in spreading awareness and promoting enlightened thought among students.
