As part of Alexandria University’s celebrations marking the 52nd anniversary of the Glorious October Victories, and under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, the Faculty of Education organized an educational seminar entitled “National Security Strategies in Light of the Lessons of October.”
The seminar was delivered by Major General Eng. Hafez Hassan, an expert in national security strategies, and featured a special performance by Alexandria University’s Choir.
The event was attended by Dr. Hassan Saad Abdeen, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Salem Abdelrazek Suleiman, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. El-Sayeda Mahmoud Ibrahim, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; and Dr. Lamia El-Shafei, Coordinator of Student Activities, along with a distinguished group of faculty members and students.
In his address, Dr. Hassan Saad Abdeen emphasized that the October Victory will forever remain a shining symbol of national pride and Egyptian determination, noting that the spirit of October serves as a model of perseverance and teamwork in achieving development goals and safeguarding the nation’s achievements.
During his lecture, Major General Hafez Hassan discussed the comprehensive concept of national security, explaining that it is not limited to military power alone but rather encompasses intellectual, economic, social, and cultural dimensions. He also stressed the importance of raising youth awareness of their vital role in maintaining the country’s stability and protecting its security.
At the conclusion of the event, the Dean expressed his gratitude to the speaker and attendees, affirming Alexandria University’s commitment to continuing the organization of educational and awareness-raising events that promote national identity and foster patriotic values among its students.
