Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Specific Education organized today, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the second Postgraduate Studies and Research Forum under the title: "Visions and Trends in the Development of Contemporary Specific Education", with the participation of a distinguished group of academic leaders, experts, and specialists in various fields of specific education.

The forum’s opening was attended by Dr. Nagda Mady, Dean of the Faculty and President of the Forum; Dr. Salwa Basha, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs and Vice President of the Forum; Dr. Mokhtar Youssef, former Vice President of Alexandria University; Dr. Sherif Abdel Moneim, Forum Coordinator; Dr. Dina El-Gayar, Executive Director of the University Projects Management Unit; Dr. Saad Darwish, former Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at Matrouh University; Dr. Lamiaa El-Shafei, Assistant Coordinator of Social Issues at Alexandria University; Dr. Sara Osama, Communication Officer at the “PILOT” Incubator; Dr. Rihaf Hassan Foula, International Consultant in Management, Education, and Training; and Ms. Mona Qobtan, General Director of Cultural Relations at the University. A number of deans and vice deans of faculties and institutes, along with a large group of researchers and postgraduate students, also attended the forum.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Nagda Mady affirmed that the forum represents a prominent scientific event focused on discussing issues and trends in contemporary specific education. She explained that its organization stems from the faculty’s keenness to promote a culture of scientific research and provide an opportunity for researchers to exchange ideas and visions on the latest trends contributing to the development of specific education in line with the challenges and demands of the modern era. She emphasized that postgraduate studies are not merely a continuation of academic pursuit but a platform for knowledge production and the creation of new intellectual frameworks that support societal development. She also highlighted the importance of providing a stimulating educational environment that brings together faculty, researchers, and administrators to support the path of science and community service. Dr. Mady extended her gratitude to all organizers and participants, considering their contributions a valuable addition to the academic field.

For her part, Dr. Salwa Basha noted that the forum constitutes a unique scientific platform that allows postgraduate students to engage with a distinguished group of professors and experts in the field of specific education. She stressed the importance of promoting academic dialogue on topics such as international publishing, artificial intelligence applications, research projects, sustainable development, scientific missions, and technological advancement. Dr. Basha stated that the forum reflects the faculty’s belief in the necessity of preparing a generation of researchers capable of driving change through innovative research projects aligned with modern trends and rooted in real societal needs. She also expressed her hope that the forum’s sessions would yield practical recommendations to support academic and educational development.

The forum included discussions on a number of specialized scientific themes, most notably: effective scientific research, artificial intelligence applications in research, research quality in light of the Sustainable Development Goals, research projects, intellectual property rights, technological incubators, patents, and international publishing.

A select group of professors and specialists contributed to these discussions, enriching the sessions with their scientific insights and extensive expertise, which greatly benefited the participating researchers and postgraduate students.
