Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Nursing organized its 11th Employment Forum on the morning of Saturday, August 2, 2025, under the theme: "Nurses of Today – Leaders of Tomorrow." The forum was attended by representatives from leading hospitals and healthcare institutions, faculty members, and students, aiming to connect graduates with the job market by offering direct employment opportunities and providing an interactive platform that brings together graduates and healthcare employers. This initiative supports their professional journey and strengthens sustainable engagement with healthcare partners
In her opening speech, Dr. Nefertiti Hassan Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, emphasized that the forum aligns with the Faculty’s mission to empower graduates and prepare them for the labor market, while reinforcing partnerships with stakeholders in the healthcare sector. She highlighted that the Faculty’s international accreditation by the German Accreditation Agency AHPGS is a significant academic and professional achievement, boosting the prospects of its graduates both locally and internationally.
Dr. Sahar Lamada, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, noted that the forum reflects the Faculty’s commitment to opening practical pathways for graduates and establishing strong ties with healthcare institutions. She affirmed that the Faculty’s graduates possess a high level of competence and training, making them highly qualified for integration into the workforce.
Dr. Eman Taha, Professor in the Department of Nursing Education, spoke about the importance of interprofessional healthcare teams in improving care quality and patient safety, emphasizing the value of continuous training in collaboration, communication, and professional responsibility.
Dr. Esraa Ismail, Coordinator of the Alumni Unit, presented the unit’s role in supporting graduates and enhancing their connection to the Faculty through digital platforms, training workshops, and partnerships with employment agencies. She reiterated the unit’s commitment to addressing graduates’ evolving needs and advancing their practical skills.
Representatives from the participating institutions praised the quality of the Faculty’s graduates and expressed their eagerness to maintain cooperation in such forums that bridge academic knowledge and labor market needs, offering promising employment opportunities for Faculty of Nursing graduates.
The forum hosted participation from a number of institutions including: Alexandria Kidney and Urology Hospital, Nile El Amal Hospital, Dar El Elag Hospital, Safwa Hospital, Agyal Hospital, the Saudi German Hospital, Andalusia El Shalalat Hospital, Smouha International Hospital, the International Heart Center, as well as specialized companies and centers such as Medical Store Company, United Training and Consultancy Center, and the Egyptian-Saudi Company.
