Alexandria University's Council of Graduate Studies and Research, in its meeting this morning, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, headed by Dr. Hisham Saeed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, renewed its approval of the University Council's decision, issued in its session on November 29, 2022, to amend the English Language Testing System (AUEPT) test score to a minimum of 60% instead of 50% for all university faculties and institutes.

The Council approved the Faculty of Pharmacy's proposal to accredit the Professional Diploma Program (Sports Pharmacy Practice) as well as the Professional Master's Program in Radiopharmacy, a joint degree between the Faculty of Pharmacy (Department of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry), the Medical Research Institute (Department of Radiology), and the Atomic Energy Authority.

The Council reviewed a summary of some international agreements and research topics related to the educational process at Alexandria University. The Council approved the agreement to use Biobank Data UK in the graduation project of a group of students from the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer and Systems Engineering. It also approved the renewal of the cooperation agreement between the University of Cyprus and Alexandria University to cooperate in research and academic fields of mutual interest, the proposed academic cooperation agreement between Tohoku University in Japan and Alexandria University, the recognition agreement between Alexandria University (Faculty of Business) and Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom, the renewal of the memorandum of understanding between Alexandria University (Faculty of Engineering) and the National Research Nuclear University in Russia, the proposed cooperation agreement between Alexandria University (Faculty of Business) and DeGroote Business School in Ontario, Canada for the purpose of cooperation in research and academic fields of mutual interest, and the proposed cooperation agreement between Alexandria University and the University of Granada in Spain in the field office student exchange between the two universities.
