In an atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, visited the Papal Headquarters of the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate in Alexandria to extend his congratulations to our Coptic brothers on the occasion of Easter and Sham El-Nessim.
The visit was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria; Major General Hazem Badr, Assistant Commander of the Northern Military Zone; a delegation from the Alexandria Endowments Directorate, Al-Azhar, the Family House, and the Ministry of Health; a number of security and executive leaders from the governorate; representatives of the Journalists Syndicate; and members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The well-wishers were received by His Grace Bishop Pavly, Bishop of Montazah District; His Grace Bishop Hilarion, Bishop of the Western District; His Grace Bishop Hermina, Bishop of the Eastern District; and Father Ibrahim Emil, His Holiness the Pope's Vicar in Alexandria.
During the meeting, Dr. Qansouh expressed his pride in participating with the Copts in their celebration of the glorious Easter holiday, emphasizing that Alexandria University is keen to support the values of brotherhood and national unity. He expressed his hope that God would bring this occasion back with goodness, blessings, and prosperity to the entire Egyptian people, and that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, would continue its path of development and construction.
For his part, Bishop Pavly appreciated the visit of Alexandria's leaders, emphasizing that this gesture reflects the depth of relations and the spirit of love that unites Egyptians. He emphasized that these occasions represent an opportunity to strengthen the principles of citizenship and cooperation to build a strong, cohesive nation.
