Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ali Abdel Mohsen, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the 44th Scout Festival for Alexandria University Rovers and Scouts and the 16th Orientation Course this morning, Monday, April 14, 2025. The festival is organized by the General Administration for Youth Care - Rovers and Public Service Department, in the presence of deans and vice deans of faculties. The week-long event will take place at the Youth City in Abu Qir.

In his speech, Dr. Abdel Mohsen conveyed the greetings of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa and his sincere wishes for the success of this festival. He highlighted the pioneering role of Alexandria University in supporting various student activities. Dr. Abdel Mohsen also welcomed the participation of Alexandria Private University in the festival's activities, emphasizing the importance of the scouting and guiding movement in building students' personalities and reinforcing their national and humanitarian values. He explained that the university places great importance on providing a stimulating environment for students to participate in such activities, which contribute to developing their leadership and social skills and enhancing their team spirit and volunteerism. He added that the university is proud of the Scouting activity because of the noble principles it embodies, of which we are all proud. He thanked the deans and vice deans for their attendance and continuous support for various student activities, and thanked the General Administration of Youth Care and the Scouting Department for organizing this event. On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, Dr. Ali Abdel Mohsen and university leaders toured the scouting training course held as part of the festival, inspecting the activities and practical workshops in which students participated. They praised the level of organization and the participants' dedication to acquiring scouting knowledge and skills.

It's worth noting that these events include a wide range of scouting, guidance, cultural, and sports activities and competitions aimed at honing students' skills and promoting positive communication among them, in line with Alexandria University's vision of preparing a distinguished generation capable of serving their community.
