As part of the Egyptian state’s strategy to internationalize higher education and enhance the regional and global competitiveness of Egyptian universities, and in line with Alexandria University’s commitment to expanding its international presence and attracting more international students, Alexandria University and Alexandria National University participated in the “EDUGATE” International Higher Education Exhibition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the leading educational platforms that brings together prominent universities and academic institutions from around the world.

Alexandria University was represented by Dr. Hala Moqled, Executive Director of the International Students Affairs Department, while Alexandria National University was represented by Prof. Abdullah Massad Zain El-Din, Academic Supervisor of the University.

The pavilion of Alexandria University and Alexandria National University was inaugurated by Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities; Dr. Ali Shams El-Din, President of the Forum and Former President of Benha University; Dr. Ahmed Saeed Fahim, Cultural Attaché of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Ghani, Head of the Central Administration for International Students Affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education.

Over the two days of the exhibition, the universities’ pavilion witnessed strong turnout from visitors, including school students, parents, postgraduate students of various nationalities, as well as Egyptian expatriates residing in Riyadh. Detailed presentations were delivered on the diverse academic programs offered by both universities and the study opportunities available for international students.

Visitors showed significant interest in joint programs with international universities, particularly the Manchester programs in Medicine and Dentistry, in addition to dual degree programs with the Universities of Essex, Louisville, and Virginia Tech across various engineering disciplines. Interest was also expressed in dual degree programs in Business Administration with the Universities of Pace, Essex, and Southampton.
