As part of Alexandria University’s commitment to supporting student innovation and creativity, Prof. Abir Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, inaugurated the Student Activities Exhibition organized by the Tour Guiding Department. The event was attended by Prof. Hanan Al-Assar, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Sara Katat, Head of the Tour Guiding Department, along with faculty members and teaching assistants of the department.
During the exhibition, Prof. Abir Attia emphasized that the event aims to encourage students to develop creative thinking and enhance their self-confidence. She noted that the showcased works reflect their professional skills and contributions in proposing innovative ideas and solutions that help develop the tourism sector. She also added that the research projects presented by first-year students covered a variety of topics related to Ancient Egyptian art and Greco-Roman art. She expressed her appreciation for the students’ outstanding efforts, affirming that they are a source of pride for the faculty and true ambassadors of Egypt in various fields of tourism. She also extended her thanks to the faculty members and teaching assistants for their role in mentoring and supporting the students.
On her part, Prof. Hanan Al-Assar praised the continuous efforts of faculty members in supervising the students, confirming that such support contributed to highlighting their creative abilities. She stressed that the exhibition provided students with an opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge, reflecting their readiness to integrate into the job market.
Prof. Sara Katat also expressed her appreciation for the significant support provided by the faculty administration to the students, explaining that such activities help them develop their presentation, communication, and public-speaking skills, while also confirming their preparedness to excel in their professional careers.
