Within the framework of the Egyptian-Chinese joint cooperation program funded by the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority, and under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, representatives of the Chinese team for the joint project between the two sides, entitled "Preparation of insecticides from DNA nanoparticles and their application in pest control", visited the Faculty of Education, where they were received by Dr. Mohamed Anwar, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Abeer El-Wakil, the principal researcher of the project. During the meeting, opportunities for enhancing future cooperation between the two sides were discussed.

Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, accompanied Dr. Cyril Clark, Executive Vice President and Academic Director of Virginia Tech University, and his accompanying delegation, during their visit to the Centres of Excellence at the Faculty of Medicine, in the presence of Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Iman Youssef, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Tamer Abdallah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development.
 
 
 
During the visit, the delegation inspected the Alexandria University Centre for Medical Training and saw the experimental medical operating room on animals. It also inspected the Medical Research Center, which includes the Regenerative Medicine Research and Applications Unit, and the Clinical Research Center, where clinical research is conducted in cooperation with many research centers in the world. The delegation expressed great interest in cooperation in these research areas through these centers. A presentation was also made about the Clinical Genomics Centre at the Faculty and the effective participation of this centre in the Egyptian Genome Project.
 
 
 
For its part, the American delegation praised the distinguished level of medical devices and modern technologies used in training and medical research, which are in line with the best international standards in this field.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, students participated in an interactive meeting conducted by Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, with 100 students from various Egyptian public and private universities. This meeting is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration's public diplomacy activities and its efforts to enhance communication with students and youth.
 
 
 
The Alexandria University delegation was represented by five students from the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science: Moataz El-Gazzarly, Sarah Zahhou, Mohamed Ali Abdel Hamid, Reham Ahmed Ibrahim, and Seif El-Din Darwish.
 
 
 
The students' participation comes within the framework of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University,'s commitment to engaging students in active participation in analyzing national issues and presenting insights on them, based on the university's wealth of knowledge in various fields, including economics and politics.
 
 
 
Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, noted that the Minister of Foreign Affairs' meeting with the students addressed all issues related to Egyptian national security and the Ministry's active diplomacy in various fields. It also addressed efforts to strengthen economic and investment partnerships with friendly countries, as well as the Ministry's role in caring for Egyptian citizens abroad and its tireless efforts to develop consular services. The Minister also listened to the students' opinions and suggestions on various regional issues and emphasized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to continuing to open channels of dialogue with young people at universities across the country. This will contribute to raising awareness of Egypt's active role on the regional and international levels in preserving national interests.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Alexandria University organized yesterday the annual Job Fair for the Department of Tourism Studies and the Tourism, Hospitality, and Heritage Program. The event was held at the Faculty Museum, and was attended by Dr. Abeer Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; Dr. Dina Ezz El-Din, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hanan El-Assar, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Samar El-Qasrawy, Head of the Department of Tourism Studies and Executive Director of New and Specialized Programs; and a number of faculty members, representatives from 16 tourism companies, four hotels and restaurants, as well as students and alumni of the Faculty.

Dr. Abeer Attia indicated that this event aims to open channels of communication between the faculty and the labour market to provide training and employment opportunities for students and graduates, and to prepare graduates who meet the changing requirements of the labour market. She explained that the faculty is keen to graduate students capable of competing locally and globally. Therefore, the faculty focuses on training students starting from the second year in all departments, whether through training in tourism companies or organizing scientific trips to archaeological sites in Egypt.

Dr. Abeer Attia sent a message of support to the students during the event, encouraging them to be a respected representative of Egypt through their work in the fields of tourism, hotels, and tour guiding.

Dr. Dina Ezz El-Din emphasized that this job fair is an important experience for students, as it represents the first step in their professional lives through personal interviews with companies, providing them with the opportunity to train and learn about the requirements of the new labour market.

Dr. Hanan Al-Assar explained that the faculty has a plan in place to train students from enrollment until graduation. This is achieved through ongoing communication with tourism companies to recruit a large number of students after graduation. The faculty has also introduced an exchange education system that supports the concept of work while studying, thus providing the greatest possible number of job opportunities for students.

As part of Alexandria University's celebrations of the glorious June 30 Revolution, and under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Popular Defense Forces and the Military, represented by the University's Military Education Department, organized an awareness seminar this morning, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Faculty of Science's Shatby Building. The seminar was titled "Fourth-Generation Warfare and its Direction to the Civilian Sector." Major General Dr. Hisham El-Halabi, Advisor to the Nasser Higher Military Academy for Strategic Studies, delivered the lecture. The seminar was attended by Dr. Sherine Khattab, Dean of the Faculty, deans, faculty members, and students.

This seminar is part of a series of events and activities organized by the university to commemorate the June 30 Revolution, which symbolizes the Egyptian people's will to protect their country and preserve its resources. Through this, the university affirms its commitment to spreading national awareness and instilling the values ​​of loyalty and belonging in its students, as an essential part of its educational and societal mission.

In his speech, Major General Hisham Al-Halabi addressed the concept of fourth-generation warfare, which relies primarily on psychological, media, and electronic warfare. These wars aim to spread rumors, incite chaos, and weaken the spirit of national belonging, ultimately leading to the overthrow of the state from within without direct military intervention. He emphasized the need to enhance university students' awareness of these contemporary wars and their important role as the first line of defense against the attempts to distort and distort information to which the Egyptian state is exposed. He emphasized that youth are the true force for building and protecting the nation.

Dr. Sherine Khattab, Dean of the Faculty of Science, emphasized in her speech the Faculty of Science's commitment to providing scientific, cultural, and awareness-raising support to its students, with the aim of preparing an aware, educated generation capable of facing challenges.

Dr. Mohamed Essam Hagar, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized the importance of linking academic roles with community service.

Dr. Ahmed Safar, the supervisor of studies at the Shatby Building, expressed his pride in hosting these national awareness events.

Colonel Mohamed Maher, Director of the Military Education Department at Alexandria University, and Lieutenant Colonel Shihab El-Din Magdy praised the students' positive interaction and active participation in the discussions. They emphasized the continued organization of such seminars to educate young people and protect them against intellectual and media threats.

The event witnessed significant student interaction, including contributions and questions addressing how to combat rumors and fake news, the importance of maintaining national security, and the role of digital media in supporting or threatening societal stability.
