Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, inaugurated the faculty's third employment forum yesterday. The forum was attended by Dr. Osama El-Adly, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Mohamed El-Khatib, Lecturer in Economics at the faculty, Executive Director of the Training and Qualification Unit for the Labor Market, and Forum Coordinator; a group of faculty members, support staff, bankers, and executives involved in entrepreneurship; numerous entrepreneurs, business owners, representatives of civil society organizations and the media; and hundreds of faculty graduates, researchers, and students.
 
 
 
This forum comes within the framework of Alexandria University's commitment in general, and the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in particular, to supporting graduates in the labor market and creating opportunities for them in light of the competitive environment.
 
 
 
Dr. Wahban explained that the forum included a series of lectures and workshops on its first day, while the second day included an exhibition. The graduates benefited from more than thirty organizations, including private companies, institutions, banks, research centers, the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet, and numerous civil society organizations. Several introductory lectures were also organized on the various participating sectors, as well as lectures on career building and skill development. He highlighted the successes achieved by the forum over the past two years, including the communication between graduates, students, and stakeholders, which resulted in many graduates finding jobs in various sectors.
 
 
 
 
On the sidelines of the forum, several seminars and workshops were held in the college's conference hall, addressing important topics relevant to young people. The most prominent of these were an introductory seminar on banking, analytical skills and feasibility studies, data analysis, employment in digital manufacturing, combating digital drugs, banking and financial job requirements, and jobs in the political and media sectors.

Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the members of the Faculty of Nursing on the unconditional accreditation of the Faculty's Training Unit by the American Heart Association (AHA), with a grade of "Excellent," making it an officially accredited centre for providing specialized training programs in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and lifesaving.

 

The ceremony was attended by a team of representatives from the American Heart Association in the Middle East region, the dean, deputies, faculty members, and the unit's training coordinators.

 

For her part, Dr. Nefertiti Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Chairperson of the Training Unit's Board of Directors, indicated that this accreditation is the culmination of the university and faculty's efforts to support the continuing health education system and develop the capabilities of healthcare professionals in various specialties, as investing in human resources is one of the key pillars of improving healthcare services provided to citizens. She emphasized the role of the accredited training unit as a training platform at the local and international levels.

Within the framework of Alexandria University's celebrations of the fifty-first anniversary of the October victory, and under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konswa, President of the University, and the supervision, support and guidance of Dr. Mohamed Anwar Farag, Dean of the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Education organized a cultural awareness celebration yesterday, in which Dr. Youssef El Gamal, former Minister of Education and one of the heroes of the Air Defense Forces in the glorious October War, and Major General Omar Ezz El Din, one of the heroes of the Navy in the War of Attrition, and Major General Elmi Kamel, one of the heroes of the Egyptian Thunderbolt Forces in the glorious October War, and His Eminence Imam Dr. Ibrahim El Gamal, Director General of Alexandria Preaching and Head of the Fatwa Committee, and a number of heroes of the Armed Forces who participated in the great October victory, and the attendance of all the agents and a number of department heads and a number of faculty members and their assistants at the faculty, and a large number of male and female students at the faculty.

The celebration began with the national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Quran, followed by speeches from the attendees who were keen to advise all students on the necessity of arming themselves with knowledge and science and not to be led by misleading rumors. At the end of the celebration, the heroes in attendance from our armed forces were honored, as well as Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah, the media advisor.

Dr. Abdelaziz Konswa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Hassan Saad Abdin on the occasion of the issuance of the presidential decree appointing him as Dean of the Faculty of Education, wishing him success and continued efforts to raise the level of the Faculty, and stressing the provision of all support and assistance to him for his success in performing his mission.

Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the diplomatic attachés from the alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Alexandria University who recently joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wishing them success.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty, honoured the new envoys during a ceremony organized by the Faculty for this purpose, attended by the Faculty's vice-deans, department heads, faculty members, and support staff. Wahban presented them with commemorative shields, expressing his happiness and pride in the students of the Faculty, emphasizing that their Faculty will always remain their permanent home and support. He urged them to continue their postgraduate studies.

The new envoys delivered words of thanks and gratitude, expressing their pride in belonging to Alexandria University and the Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
