Faculty of Nursing celebrates Orphan Day
Yesterday, Faculty of Nursing celebrated Orphan's Day, as it hosted 80 children from five orphanages in Alexandria.
Dr. Nefertiti Hassan, Dean of the faculty, indicated that this activity is a continuation of the activities of the "We Take Care of You" initiative and was organized by the community service and environmental development sector in the faculty in cooperation with the Department of Pediatric Nursing, the Department of Community Health, and the Students' Union under the supervision of the faculty Youth Welfare Department. She said that the day included entertainment activities. And seminars for health education on nutrition, health education on hygiene, and health education activities through puppet theatre. During the day, games were played and various gifts were given to children.
Opening the exhibition of the products at the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science
Under the auspices of Dr. Abdulaziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science organized today, Sunday, March 5, 2023, the Products Exhibition, in cooperation with the Sarh Association, and it will be held for five days.
Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the College, indicated that the exhibition includes various exhibits of clothes, handicrafts, and food products at reasonable prices, presented by about 40 exhibitors representing 40 commercial entities and civil society organizations, in addition to three representatives of producers of people of determination. The Dean of the College added that the exhibition serves the students of the College of Studies. Economic and political sciences, as well as students of the university campus, faculty members, administrators and support services.
Dr. Osama Al-Adly, Dr. Sherine Naseer, Dr. Marwa Khalil, Vice Deans of the College, Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal, Director General of the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar in Alexandria, Eng. Ola Muhailiba, President of Al Sarh Association, Dr. Adel Antar and Mrs. Heba Al-Qersh, coordinators of the exhibition, a group of faculty members, members of the House of Representatives, many officials, men and women of Alexandrian civil society, and media professionals.
Faculty of Arts organizes The Festival of the Theater Department for specialized institutes
Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konswa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Arts organized the “Festival of the Theatre Department for Departments and Specialized Institutes” at the Grand Theater in the Library of Alexandria.
Dr. Manal Fouda, Head of the Theater Department at the faculty, pointed out the goal of holding this festival, which is to unite the ranks of all educational institutions specialized in teaching the arts in one crucible to enhance students’ creative abilities and serve the goals of the National Strategic Plan and Egypt’s Vision 2030 regarding investing in people.
The opening included a theatrical performance entitled (The Shahateen Drama), written by Badr Muhareb and directed by Dr. Gamal Yaqout and acting students of the Theater Department at Alexandria University, and holding training workshops at the Shatby Culture Palace, and theatrical performances in the Small Theater in its Alexandria Library. The festival also witnessed the honoring of a number of art icons in Alexandria, and the showing of a number of short films of the most important dramatic works that distinguished students and graduates of the Theater Department and the Higher Institute. For performing arts this year. And short films about the most important works of the festival’s honorees.
The deans, deans of colleges, faculty members, the dean of the Cinema Institute in Alexandria, the dean of the Institute of Dramatic Arts in Alexandria, and a group of artists specialized in the theatrical and cinematic fields participated in the opening.
Faculty of Education organizes the first participatory workshop to activate the community participation of universities in the population issue
Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Major General Mohamed El-Sherif, Governor of Alexandria, and the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Anwar Farag, Dean of the Faculty of Education, the first participatory workshop was held today, Thursday, to activate the societal participation of universities in the population issue, in preparation for participation in the World Conference on Population, Health and Development 2024.
Dr. Mohamed Anwar Farrag, Dean of the faculty, Dr. Arabi Abu Zeid, Director of the Directorate of Education in Alexandria Governorate, Dr. Ibrahim El-Gamal, Director of the Alexandria Preaching District and Chairman of the Fatwa Committee in the Governorate, Professor Mohamed Fahmy, Director of the Population Unit in the Governorate General Office, and the faculty deputies and a large number participated in the workshop. From the faculty members and their assistants at the faculty, the workshop consisted of three sessions and an opening session.
President of Alexandria University Appoints New Vice Deans
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, issued decisions appointing new vice deans in several faculties, as follows:
* Dr. Jihan Farouk Abul-Kheir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education for Education and Student Affairs, for a period of three years.
* Dr. Lamia Ahmed Othman, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, for a period of three years.
* Dr. Sahar Mansour Lamada, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, for a period of three years.
* Dr. Islam Amin Zaki, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Boys’ for Education and Student Affairs, for a period of three years.
