In light of Alexandria University’s celebrations of the golden jubilee of the victories of the glorious October War,
The Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, organized a seminar entitled "The Heroics of the Egyptian Armed Forces during the Glorious October War." The guest speakers of the seminar were Major General Dr. Mohamed El-Soul, a historian, military analyst and lecturer at Egyptian universities, Major General Mahmoud Mohamed Abul-Maati, one of the heroes of the Deversoir Battle, and Major General Hassan Mohamed Nassar, one of the heroes of the Battles of Oyoun Musa.
 
 
The event was attended by Dr. Hani Khamis, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Naglaa Abou-Agag, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Magdy Agamiya, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and a group of faculty members, students, and faculty employees.
 
 
 
In his speech, Dr. Hani Khamis stressed that the October War is a turning point in Egypt’s contemporary history because it restored hope in the souls of Egyptians, stressing that commemorating October calls for the values of loyalty and belonging in the souls of Egyptians. He indicated that the Egyptian state needs work, diligence, perseverance, and summoning the spirit of victory, adding that the faculty is keen to invite our heroes every year to draw lessons learned and teach our students the meanings of honour, pride and dignity, so that we may honour our heroes and remember our righteous martyrs.
 
 
 
Dr. Magdy Agamiya confirmed that the October War marked heroic acts from which the world learned the meanings of heroism, dignity, sacrifice, and redemption, pointing out that Egypt witnessed very difficult events, and she was able to overcome those difficulties with a high fighting spirit. He sent a message to the students to preserve their homeland, and not to be led by rumors aimed at destabilizing the country.
 
 
 
During the seminar, the heroes of the October War gave lectures recounting the stories, sacrifices, and memories of the War of Attrition and the glorious October War.

Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, staff and students, for obtaining international accreditation for the Pharm D and Pharm D - Clinical Pharmacy programs from the American Accreditation Commission for Pharmacy Education, which is one of the most important international accreditation bodies in the field of pharmacy.
 
 
Dr. Hanan Gewily, Dean of the Faculty, thanked the University President for providing all means of support and assistance, and thanked the team at the Faculty for the efforts made to reach this achievement, which confirms the Faculty's constant endeavour to provide the best for its students and members, and the University and Faculty's firm commitment to raising the level of education and providing academic programs with international standards.

As part of the Faculty of Agriculture's efforts to strengthen the link between academic education and the labour market, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Agriculture at Saba Pasha Campus held its employment forum at the faculty's headquarters. The forum was attended by several leading agricultural companies, faculty members, students, and alumni.
 
 
 
Dr. Ahmed Abdelfattah Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in Saba Pasha, noted that the forum's activities included scientific and awareness seminars on employment skills and job opportunities in the agricultural sector, discussions between students and company representatives on professional challenges, and practical guidance on preparing for the labour market. He added that many participating companies offered immediate employment and training opportunities to a large number of students, including Orkem Trading and Agriculture Company, Younis Apiary, Aladdin Poultry Company, Al Waha Company, Green Argy Company, Life Company, and Rich Grow Company. He explained that these opportunities varied between field training and direct jobs in the sectors of animal production, crops, food processing, protection, and agricultural extension.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Ibrahim Abbas El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, indicated that the employment and training opportunities provided by the participating companies to students and graduates of the faculty are real opportunities to develop their skills and prepare them to engage in various fields of agricultural work.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Iman Ayyad, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty, noted that the forum featured scientific and awareness seminars on employment skills and job opportunities in the agricultural sector, discussions between students and company representatives on professional challenges, and practical guidance on preparing for the labour market.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Shaima Shaheen, Associate Professor in the Department of Animal and Fisheries Production at the Faculty, participated in coordinating the forum's activities.

Within the framework of the Egyptian state’s interest in health and sports, and under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and to complement the celebration held on the occasion of the International Day of Francophonie, Dr. Mohamed Bilal, Dean of the Faculty of Education in Abu Qir, and the Vice Deans of the Faculty, received on Sunday, March 20, 2022, Dr. Patrick Zono, Head of the Department of Public Health at Senghor University and his accompanying delegation and a number of Senghor University students, to spend a scientific, sports and entertainment day at the Faculty of Physical Education Abu Qir.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konswa, President of Alexandria University, the Higher Institute of Public Health organized an educational symposium on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the victories of the Glorious October War under the title “Crossing and Victory,” with the participation of a group of the most prominent participants in sinking the destroyer Eilat and destroying the port of Eilat, namely Major General Nabil El Shazly, trainer. The executors of the Eilat Operations Group, Major General Omar Ezz El-Din, and Marine Lieutenant Colonel Mohsen Al-Gohary, in the presence of Dr. Heba Al-Qadi, Dean of the Institute, Dr. Engy Al-Ghitani, Deputy of the Institute for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Nisreen Al-Nimr, Deputy of the Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
 
 
 
In her speech, Dr. Heba Al-Qadi affirmed that the glorious October victory is a great victory and a defining moment in the history of the Arab nation, especially since it united the Arab nation around one goal, which is to defend the usurped land and confront the enemy, pointing out that the spirit of determination and patience must be inspired by the October victories and we must remember Always our heroic martyrs, and we always renew our pledge to liberate Palestine from the usurping enemy.
 
 
 
While Major General Omar Ezz El-Din referred to his participation in the bombing of the destroyer Eilat and the destruction of the Israeli rig in the Suez Canal and the Belayim oil field during the war, as Israel seized it and had to be recovered after it was exploited by Israel. He pointed out that the Eilat operation contributed to raising the morale of the Egyptians and the forces. The Egyptian Armed Forces after the setback of June 1967, and paved the way for achieving victory in October 1973.
 
 
 
While Major General Nabil El Shazly spoke about his role in training the Egyptian heroes in the Egyptian Navy to swim and dive, which brought down the Israeli naval destroyer Eilat, stressing that the preparation stage for the operation was arduous and required carrying out very tough training, stressing that it was an unprecedented process in military operations and is taught in all academies. Military forces around the world, and he confirmed that he was tasked with raising the level of endurance and speed among the group’s members so that they could carry out the operation and return again safely.
 
 
 
Major General Mohsen Al-Gohary referred to his role in the rescue operations during and after the operation and clearing the Suez Canal area to pave the way for the heroes to cross to Eilat and carry out the mission efficiently.
