Within the framework of Alexandria University’s preparations to participate in the “Egypt Government Excellence Award,” and in implementation of the directives of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, to provide the necessary support to all university colleges and institutes, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector was organized, headed by Dr. Saeed Allam, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The first seminar of the training program for excellence coordinators in university faculties. The symposium was held under the title “Performance Indicators and How to Write a Nomination Application,” at the Center for Capacity Development of Faculty Members and Leaders at the faculty of Nursing, with the participation of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence team.

Dr. Donia Adel Abdel Aziz, the university’s coordinator for the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, indicated that the symposium was attended by Dr. Mustafa Abdel Sattar Al-Gharib, the government excellence consultant, and it dealt with determining the elements of the candidacy application (including capabilities, achievements, results, and supporting evidence), and determining what is required of each faculty in terms of uploading evidence and collecting data. Analyzing and analyzing it, measuring the extent to which the work team applies standards, defining indicators and opinion standards, focusing on results, measuring impact, and the importance of linking the college’s strategic vision and goals to Egypt’s 2030 vision. Focus was also placed on the axes and standards of the institutional award, as well as individual awards such as the Best Employee Award and the Equal Opportunity and Women’s Empowerment Award.
