Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the team of the Faculty of Specific Education, Alexandria University, for winning third place in writing policy papers within the group contributions in the national initiative launched by the Public Policy Forum at the Information and Decision Support Centre of the Egyptian Government, entitled: “We Think for Our Country: Our ideas are our future... 100 ideas for a more competitive and sustainable economy.”

The policy paper of the winning team addressed the topic of “Conference Tourism: An Action Program to Promote Egyptian Conference Tourism” in terms of the features of the current situation of conference tourism in Egypt, the obstacles to its promotion, its concerned parties, its four-way analysis, and the proposed policies to maximize its foreign exchange revenues. It concluded with a set of recommendations in Areas of promoting conference tourism in Egypt.
The winning team consisted of Dr. Nagda Madi, Professor of Home Economics and Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Alexandria University, Dr. Salwa Basha, Professor of Music Education and Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Amal Karam, Professor and Head of the Educational Technology Department at the Faculty, and Dr. Iman Azmi, former Assistant Professor of Business Administration at King Saud University and PhD researcher in Educational Technology at the Faculty of Specific Education, Alexandria University.
 
 
It is worth noting that the initiative took place in stages, with several activities extending from July 2023 until the announcement of its results in person in the New Administrative Capital on Monday the 18th of December 2023. It took place within the framework of the interest of the Information and Decision Support Centre in the Egyptian Government to enhance the participation of the research community and youth in priority issues to support the decision makers in the Egyptian state.
