Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, participated in a ceremony honoring physicians, medical interns, and Faculty of Medicine students who took part in the University's medical convoys during the 2025/2026 academic year. The event was attended by the Faculty of Medicine leadership and was held in recognition of the participants' outstanding efforts in delivering healthcare services to the community and reinforcing the University's commitment to community service and environmental development.

In her remarks, Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy emphasized that medical convoys represent one of the University's most significant community outreach initiatives. She noted that they not only provide high-quality healthcare services to citizens but also offer invaluable hands-on training opportunities for medical students and interns, enhancing their clinical skills while fostering the values of volunteerism and social responsibility.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Sadaka, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, highlighted that the 2025/2026 academic year witnessed the implementation of several medical convoys that made a tangible impact on community healthcare, thanks to the dedicated efforts of faculty members, physicians, medical interns, and students.
