English Faculty of Commerce1942
Faculty of Commerce was established upon the issuance of Law No. 32 for the year 1942 concerning the establishment and organization of Farouk I University. At the first, the faculty was based in one of Abbasia school buildings in Mohrram Bek. The study began on October 17th, 1942 and then transferred to Prince Omar Toson Saray in Ambrozo. The faculty then moved from place to place as demand on the study became greater. It occupied a building in Lauran and then transferred to the building of freedom shelter (the old building of the Faculty of Commerce). The university had bought this building and set up two auditoriums, club and library to serve faculty students till 1961 when it was moved to its current building, which was established at theoretical faculties' complex on University land in Soter.

Faculty of Arts was established in 1939, to be the oldest and most prestigious faculties in Egypt since that date, Faculty of Arts has worked to find a solution to the problems relating to its functions and its scientific and academic necessaries. The faculty plays a major role in community service through the center of the blind students, thus it interested in cultural, social and scientific development. The faculty also contributes to teach Arabic to foreigners through the center of teaching Arabic.

The first high school for fine arts was established in 1908 in Cairo. The faculty was founded in Alexandria in 1957 by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Othman, one of the pioneers in contemporary sculpture and the first Faculty Dean. Faculty study aims at preparing specialized graduates in plastic arts creation via the faculty five department’s specializations: (Architecture – Decoration - Printed designs – Photography – sculpture).

Awarded the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels (FTH) a bachelor's degree in the disciplines of: (Tourist Guide - Tourism Studies - Hotel Management) are also granted a master's degree. Tourism Studies Department aims to produce a cadre of campaign bachelor's degree in tourism studies are able to participate in achieving the goals of economic and social development.

After long debates with the responsible bodies, and preparing the study programs and rules and regulations for the new faculty, came the decision of the Prime Minister in 2014 to establish the "Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science" at Alexandria University, which started to admit students in the academic year 2014/15.
