On Friday 13/4/2018, Alexandria University Vice-President Dr. Hisham Gaber launched the marathon "We will build by our hands". The marathon started from AU administration building to Qaitbay citadel under auspices of AU president Dr. Essam El Kurdi. The event included musical ceremony and ended by awards for the first three places in the marathon and appreciation statements for the places from 4^th to 10^th.
